Building The site
A new ecommerce booking system was introduced, which visitors could use to purchase tickets beforehand. We encouraged users to buy online with the incentive to save money, benefit from offers and reduce time spent queuing to get into the castle and garden itself, which in itself increased traffic to the website.
Social media was an important aspect of this project and a particular route Alnwick wanted to improve. They wanted their social media channels to be an integrated part of the websites, and should lead naturally on from them. Therefore, we developed more space for their different channels on the site, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr, and helped to get them up and running by gaining fans and followers by running different campaigns.
